Dear Friends,
For the past 33 years, we have found a deep love and meaningful purpose in providing quality, reimagined Chinese cuisine to our local community. Our business is 100% fueled by our team, our guests and our local neighborhoods. Our collective well-being is of paramount importance.
In response to the evolving COVID-19 situation and the new measures announced by the State of New Jersey yesterday, effective tonight (March 16) at 8pm, we will temporarily close the dining areas of our restaurants - those being Hunan Taste in Denville and Hunan Taste in Montclair.
Effective March 17th, we will be offering delivery and takeout with optional curbside pickup (cash and credit card are both accepted). We are also practicing non-contact services. The delivery charge is $3.00, and we are able to deliver within a 15-minute radius from our restaurant.
What is “non-contact services?”
For delivery, this means our drivers will ring your doorbell and leave your food and change or credit card slip in a check presenter at your doorstep. You are then asked to sign or place cash inside the check presenter and leave it on the doorstep for the driver to pick up. The driver will remain 6 feet away.
For curbside takeout, this means we will bring your order and check presenter out to you when you arrive in our parking lot.
All of our employees are healthy, but for enhanced safety and comfort to both guests and staff, we are requiring them to wear masks and gloves when performing delivery and curbside services.
Here is a list of other precautionary steps we’ve taken:
- We take temperatures of all team members before the start of each shift.
- Our kitchen staff wear face masks during their shifts.
- We have sanitizing wipes in our kitchens for employees to use continuously.
- We have enhanced cleaning and sanitizing procedures in all areas.
- We have mandatory educational sessions for our team.
- If any member of the staff feels ill, we kindly ask that they stay home.
- Our employees are instructed to wash their hands for at least 20 seconds before and during their shifts.
- We discourage our team members from attending large gatherings.
- We are not shaking hands or hugging.
- We ask all employees to avoid touching their faces (eyes, nose and mouth)
We’ll continue to do everything possible to stay ahead of the curve and maintain a welcoming space for all. We are adhering to the guidance of the CDC, and closely monitoring the situation concerning COVID-19.
